Vanessa Bibby,  LCSW-R

Director of Clinical Services

Vanessa Bibby has dedicated over 30 years to the field of social work and mental health, with a career rooted in providing compassionate, culturally sensitive care. A Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) since 2004, Vanessa holds a Bachelor’s degree from McGill University and a Master’s in Social Work from Hunter College School of Social Work. Her journey at Brooklyn Center for Psychotherapy began in 1997, and her diverse roles have ranged from therapist and clinic supervisor to Director of School-Based Mental Health Programs and currently the Director of Clinical Services.
Vanessa’s passion extends beyond her professional life. A lifelong New Yorker, she treasures the city’s vibrancy but also seeks solace in nature. She enjoys hiking and biking, and her adventurous spirit led her to complete a 40-mile backpacking hike on Catalina Island in California. Her dedication to overcoming challenges — whether personal or professional — exemplifies her belief that every individual deserves the opportunity to find health, happiness, and fulfillment.
As the Director of Clinical Services, Vanessa oversees Brooklyn Center for Psychotherapy’s main clinic and all school-based programs, providing essential support and supervision to staff. She takes pride in mentoring new therapists, helping them deepen their clinical expertise, and ensuring that patients receive appropriate, compassionate care tailored to their needs. Whether developing innovative programs for the Brooklyn community or addressing day-to-day challenges, Vanessa’s leadership is rooted in a commitment to improving mental health care delivery and reducing stigma.
